Welcome

I have made a goal to become a healthier person. To start, I intend on exercising a lot more and eating a lot less junk food.  I guess that is the long and short of making this blog. If I am on here telling anyone who may read this that I am doing something, then it should keep me accountable for acutally doing what I say.
So you are welcome to join me on my journey to becoming A Healthier ME!!
(Thanks for your support :) )

  1. Way to go! I'll join with ya! I don't want to be miserable once this baby comes. I know how you feel about the winco bulk bins BUT they can really help your diet and wallet when it comes to eating a variety healthy whole grains and whole grains help keep you filled. (the one by my house is constantly refilling the bins- I know because I go a good 1-3 times a week LOL) If you have a Fred Myer down there they have some bulk stuff too in the organic sections. Do you like oatmeal? We make our own oatmeal a few different ways that are healthy and tasty: 1: add fat free milk or water, banana, a touch of brown sugar and whatever nut you like - its like banana bread in a bowl! 2) add applesauce (sweetened or unsweetened) fresh diced apples, milk or water and cinnamon - touch of brown sugar if needed and you've got apple cinnamon 3) add milk or water, strawberry yogurt and sliced strawberries. its like strawberries and cream. Its much healthier and in the long run, cheaper than instant oatmeal. Remember you can stockpile yogurt on sale then freeze it for later. Hope this helps or at least gives you some ideas. Don't forget to set aside a "splurge time." so you don't feel deprived. Maybe on Friday or Saturday nightpick 1 or 2 things to allow yourself to enjoy.
